Stunning Northfork Advenutre

May in Montana can have sunshine and snow in the same day. The morning was full of dark clouds, snow and wind, but the evening promised sunshine. We headed up the North Fork for Jena and Dustin's adventure portrait session. Such a gorgeous spot for an elopement. The North Fork is underrated, It's neighbor, Glacier National Park seems to get all the attention. While it's true that the Rocky Mountains are stunning, you can see them along the North Fork Road as well.

Our first stop was the Big Creek Campground, but it was closed with many bright signs warning us of a grizzly bear in the area. A bear cage was set up to capture him and we did not want to take our chances. Our next stop was a gorgeous river access with a beautiful shot of the mountains. Further up the road, we saw fresh grizzly tracks on the pull out.

The evening ended at the Polebridge Mercantile in Polebridge, MT. If you have never stopped in for one of their homemade goods from the bakery, I highly suggest you make the trip north. Polebridge provided us with the most stunning views of the mountains for their elopement pictures. I hope this area is never developed and stays as wild as it is!
